North Broad Street Mixed-Use Development

← Back to Index

Location Philadelphia, PA
Scope 150,000 SF Mixed Use Office, Housing and Retail

The North Broad Street corridor was once a thriving artery of commercial activity in the City of Philadelphia.

This new project would use New Market Tax Credits and other creative financing to bring 150,000 square feet of mixed use retail, office and apartments back into this area of the city. Abutting Temple University Hospital to the South, and located at a major express stop of the Broad Street subway, this project has the potential to attract further investment back into the area from other private and institutional parties.

The design is intended to capture the movement of people and vehicles passing along Broad Street, while also creating a gateway from the north to the Temple University Hospital complex beyond. Market rate and affordable housing sits over retail and office spaces, providing much needed space for medical office and other functions serving the hospital and residents of the neighborhood.
