Cooper University Hospital’s Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Center is supported by outpatient clinics providing pre- and post-operative treatment, counseling, and ongoing follow-up care for patients of size.
The new clinic was designed with features to address the physical needs of the bariatric patient population. This new clinic serving the practice includes a reception area, waiting room, group exercise and counseling room, physician and administrative offices, procedure room, blood draw room, nursing station, exam rooms and support rooms. All patient areas were designed to accommodate the additional maneuvering clearance and weight bearing requirements associated with this patient population.
