The Shirt Corner Apartments is named after the 1970s era iconic retail store that once stood on this site.
The new building matches the proportion, fenestration and materiality of the original building, minus the red, white and blue paint.
CosciaMoos Architecture worked closely with the client and the Philadelphia Historic Commission to develop a design in keeping with the historic character of the neighborhood. The result is a complementary design consisting of 59 apartment units over two retail tenants on the ground floor.
