The first project to take advantage of Princeton’s newly passed Affordable Housing Overlay, 60 North Tulane incorporates an existing two-story house into the design of a four-story multi-family residential building on the corner of Wiggins Street and North Tulane Street.
The Affordable Housing Overlay requires the preservation of existing buildings and the development of higher-density mixed-income housing around them. This leads to the unique design juxtaposition of a historic house connecting to a modern mixed-use building.

The existing two-story family home, built sometime after 1918 and most recently occupied by a local non-profit, will include one commercial office space on the ground floor and a rental apartment on the second floor.
The four-story, 18-unit building will include a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, including four affordable housing units, with tenant amenities and parking at grade level.
