Rising Real Estate gave an update on our project at 1900 North Front Street recently, noting that the site has been cleared, and construction is poised to begin. This project will eventually house 105 residential units over five floors, plus a ground floor retail space. Located across the street from Berks El Station, the building will provide convenient accessibility into Center City. The elevated rail line drove the design of the project, for example, the bay design and window layouts were influenced by the stop and go movements on the platform.
Rising Real Estate noted:
“We’re very happy to see this transit-oriented development project moving forward. This project seems like a win win win win for everyone. New residential housing supply is being added in a market that has seen rents and home prices soar over the last decade, housing is being built directly next to a Market-Frankford Line station, there’s an affordability component to the project, and a large commercial space is being added to the neighborhood. What else could you ask for here?”
