Coscia Moos Architecture partnered with their food service consultant Xcelerated Concepts to develop a three-phase upgrade to the dining experience at the University of the Sciences. Phases 1 & 2 are complete, and include complete renovations to the dining area, a new pay-as-you-go facility for students and a faculty dining room. A raised stage at one end of the dining area serves as both an additional seating area and a means of converting the dining facility to an event space. Phase 3 shall include a full servery renovation, modifications to the entrance lobby and a new wrap-around terrace outside the dining area. Portions of this raised terrace were completed in phase 2 to allow accessible access to a new adjacent student services center.
Work on completed phases was performed in short 10-week long construction periods while the subscription dining plan was inactive.
